Diia.MY
Every community, every resident, every family, and every child is part of a larger system. How this system works depends on us, so it constantly needs to be improved, maintained and developed. The main task of Diia.MY is to work with communities and in communities. Who better understands their needs and knows the solutions than local communities.
Responding to Wartime Conditions
Today we have set up a humanitarian aid headquarters for families with children from all over Ukraine, especially in the areas where the fighting continues. We have helped thousands of people through deliveries of truckloads of aid and supplies to communities, and separate parcels for individual families. We are also conducting an information campaign abroad, where we tell about the war and our brave people. We have a support group for parents, and our psychologist holds weekly meetings. Together with city authorities, we want to make housing comfortable for these families. After all, we do not want people to be in isolated ghettos. We want them to be part of society. Therefore, we are working to create welcoming public spaces around temporary refugee housing.
Primary pre-war areas of engagement of Diia.MY
- Corporate Mentoring runs the People of Opportunities program, which works with orphans or children from families in difficult life circumstances, and socially responsible businesses. The goal is to help the children with English instruction, tutoring, career guidance, social skills development, and confidence building.
- Cooperation with Communities supports the development of social and educational services for children and families, increases the capacity of local social workers and services, and makes the community comfortable and accessible to all residents. We offer training, support and solutions in various areas of community development. Also, we have a team of specialists who want to and can talk about universal design, modern concepts of urbanism, and architectural accessibility. The project “Parents in the Theme” aims to develop parental potential because it is the key to happy families and maintaining a child-friendly environment. It creates podcasts on topics that are relevant to young parents. Also, this project is about trust. We form support groups for parents and strive to make our society tolerant and friendly. We have experience running psychological support groups for parents of children with disabilities.
